Product Detail

Description of EasyReal Sugar Beet Processing Line

The EasyReal Sugar Beet Processing Line delivers a fully integrated solution for converting raw beets into clean, clarified juice or high-brix concentrates.

We build each system with modular units to support juice-only production or feedstock preparation. The process begins with wet washing, sorting, crushing, preheating and juice extraction of sugar beets using stainless-steel equipment that prevents dirt or sand from entering juice stages. Our diffuser module uses low-residue belt or screw technology to extract high quality juice.

The evaporation section includes triple-effect or quadruple-effect falling film evaporators that use low-pressure steam, saving energy while concentrating juice to 60–70°Brix.

Every step is governed by EasyReal’s smart PLC system that tracks sugar concentration, temperature curves, and flow rates.

Application Scenarios of EasyReal Sugar Beet Processing Line

The sugar beet line serves diverse sectors:

● Natural Sweetener Plants: Producers extract beet juice as an alternative to cane sugar. Concentrated beet syrup serves as a clean-label ingredient.

● Industrial Sugar Producers: The system supports clarification and pre-crystallization steps used before centrifugal sugar extraction.

● Beverage & Functional Drink Factories: Some clients blend beet juice with fruit juice or ferment it into probiotic beverages.

● Bioethanol and Bioplastics Plants: Beet juice or molasses becomes a low-cost carbon source for fermentation.

● Dairy and Bakery Suppliers: High-brix beet syrup works well in flavored yogurt, ice cream, baked goods, and confectionery.

We design each line based on your product goals, seasonal beet supply, and available utilities.

How to Choose the Sugar Beet Processing Line Configuration

Choosing your beet line depends on three key factors:

1. Target Output: Juice vs. Syrup vs. Sugar Feedstock

● For beet juice (6–15°Brix), a basic line with washing, crushing, pre-heating, extracting, and filtration is enough.
● For beet syrup (55–70°Brix), add evaporation with energy-saving modules.

2. Hourly Capacity

● <10 tons/hour: Ideal for small farms or regional juice brands.
● 10–25 tons/hour: Balanced for local sugar production.
● 30 tons/hour: Suitable for industrial beet processors and exporters.

3. Packaging Form

● Liquid beet juice: sent to bottling or aseptic drums.
● Concentrated syrup: packed in IBCs or barrels.
● Sugar-ready syrup: moved to molasses lines.

EasyReal supports custom layouts, split-level installations, or compact skid-mounted units depending on your space.

Flow Chart of Sugar Beet Processing Steps

Sugar Beet Processing Flow:

1.Raw Beet Feeding

Beets are unloaded into a hopper with water channel feed.

2.Washing & Sorting

Rotary washer removes soil. Soritng for raw product inspection.

3.Beet Crushing

Crushing beets into small particles for subsequent juicing.

4.Pre-heater

Heat the beet granules to inactivate enzymes and increase juice yield at 65–75°C.

5.Juice Extraction

Pressing beet granules to obtain juice.

6.Juice Filtration & Decolorization
Remove solids and pigments using rotary vacuum filter or resin.

7.Evaporation
Concentrate juice to syrup using falling film evaporators.

8.Filling or Storage
Send to sterile filling or syrup drums.

Key Equipment in the Sugar Beet Processing Line

1. Sugar Beet Rotary Washer

The rotary washer removes mud and dirt with counter-rotating paddles and water jets. It features a stainless drum and automatic waste discharge. The washer handles up to 30 tons/hour and ensures clean beets before slicing. It reduces cleaning load on downstream equipment.

2. Beet Hammer Crusher

This crusher has an advanced working principle with excellent crushing performance, simple operation, and easy cleaning. Except for the motor and frame, the rest of the machine is made of high-quality stainless steel. The crushed particles are uniform and efficient, which greatly improves labor productivity, reduces costs, and brings good economic benefits. It crushes raw materials into small particles, making them more suitable for further processing. It is one of the essential pieces of equipment for enterprises manufacturing fruit wine, jams, beverages, etc

3. Pre-heater(Enzymatic deactivators)

Commonly called Enzymatic deactivators and Enzymatic inactivators; It uses heat to stop the activity of the pectolytic enzymes responsible for hydrolyzing the polysaccharides which make up the structure of the fruit(means destroying enzyme). This effectively prevents oxidation and increases production yield;.

4. Juice Extraction

Uses rotating belts to press materials (like fruits, vegetables, or fibrous plants) continuously, separating juice from pulp efficiently in a steady process. Works well with fibrous ingredients by applying gradual pressure, ensuring thorough juice extraction without blocking.

Gentle pressing reduces heat and oxidation, keeping juice fresh, with better taste and more retained nutrients compared to high-speed methods. Extracts more juice from materials, minimizing pulp waste, which is eco-friendly and cost-effective for businesses..

5. Falling Film Evaporator (Multi-Effect)

This evaporator uses vertical tubes where juice flows down in thin layers while steam heats the outside. We use 3–5 effects to cut energy use. Stainless steel 316L, CIP ports, and automatic condensate recovery are standard. You get stable concentration with less steam.

6. Aseptic Bag Filling System

Fills liquid products (like juices, dairy, sauces) into sterile bags in a bacteria-free environment, preventing contamination from microorganisms. It sterilizes both the empty bags (using heat, chemicals, or radiation) and the liquid products before filling, ensuring full sterility.

By keeping products free from bacteria, it allows long-term storage (often months) without refrigeration, reducing spoilage. Maintains the taste, nutrients, and texture of liquids, as no preservatives are needed due to the sterile environment. Aseptic bags are lightweight and compact, lowering costs for storage, shipping, and handling compared to traditional packaging..

Material Adaptability & Output Flexibility

The EasyReal Sugar Beet Line works with:

● Fresh sugar beet roots (whole, cleaned)
● Pre-chopped or silo-stored beet material
● Beets with variable sugar content (12–20% sucrose)
● Organic-certified or conventionally farmed roots

You can adjust output by switching modules:

● Remove evaporation → fresh juice for drinks
● Add crystallization → sugar feedstock or crystals

The system supports batch or continuous processing, manual or automatic dosing, and dual output paths for juice and syrup.

Need to handle different crops? Ask about add-ons to process chicory, sugar cane juice, or other root-based sugars with the same line structure.

Smart Control System by EasyReal

The EasyReal Sugar Beet Processing Line runs on a fully automated PLC + HMI control system. You can monitor every step—from beet feeding to syrup discharge—on a single touchscreen. Operators get real-time values for °Brix, temperature, flow speed, tank level, and steam consumption. The system also tracks alarms, logs operation data, and provides visual trends for troubleshooting.

We use international brands like Siemens for PLCs and sensors. The HMI panel offers multilingual interfaces and recipe management. You can save many operation recipes for different product formats. Each unit, like the diffuser or evaporator, includes local control stations with emergency stop buttons, pressure gauges, and manual overrides.

For clients with SCADA or MES systems, we provide Ethernet, Modbus, or OPC-UA integration. You can upload batch records, track what’s made, and analyze energy efficiency remotely.

Need operator training? EasyReal offers on-site commissioning and remote assistance with TeamViewer or VPN connection.

With smart automation, you reduce labor costs, prevent manual errors, and ensure stable quality. You can run the full line with just several trained operators per shift—even during peak beet harvest.
